4 more feared washed away in marooned Moranchapalli

Four more villagers are feared to have been washed away in the extremely heavy rainfall that left Moranchapalli village in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district of Telangana, submerged under 15 feet of flood water. On Thursday, two IAF helicopters had to be pressed into service - along with NDRF and fire services personnel - to evacuate about 1,900 villagers living here, many of whom had taken shelter atop trees and terraces to save themselves.
