Folk singer V Saichand who swayed masses for Telangana statehood dies at 39

Popular folk singer V Saichand, who enthralled masses with his soul-stirring songs during the Telangana agitation for separate statehood, , died of a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Thursday. He was 39 and is survived by wife, a son and daughter. The singer took an active part in the statehood movement.
