771 ‘variants of concern’ detected

Genome sequencing by Indian SARS-CoV-2 Consortium on Genomics (INSACOG) has shown variants of concern (VOC) and a novel variant in India. The N440K variant that is associated with immune escape has also been found in samples from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
