T'gana: Big land owners split holdings with kin

The number of small farmers getting the benefit of Rythu Bandhu scheme has gone up in the current cycle, with about 36,000 more farmers owning three acres or less having received the benefit when compared to the first half of 2020. Reason: Land is being divided within families following fears that government may introduce a cap on subsidy based on land ownership. Officials, however, have denied any such plan.
