'Take up regular promotions of top cops in 3 wks'

Telangana high court said it is not ready to accept states’ insistence that they be allowed to go ahead with ad hoc promotions to senior police officers. The court directed Telangana to take up regular promotions to additional SPs and non-cadre SPs within three weeks in tune with the combined seniority list prepared by Andhra Pradesh.
