Land sharks threaten to swallow up Hyderabad lakes

The Telangana high court’s scrutiny of activity near lakes couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time, say activists. Thelockdown has emboldened land sharks to encroach lakes in the city. Without any one to object, roads are being laid on water bodies, debris dumped for occupation and boundaries altered, allege activists.
