Hyd: Cleric Moulana Mohammed Naseeruddin dies

Controversial Muslim cleric Moulana Mohammed Naseeruddin, founder president of Wahdat-e-Islami, died at his Saidabad residence on Saturday morning. While medical reports from a private lab (TOI has a copy) stated that he had contracted Covid-19, his family maintained that his tests were negative and organised a large funeral – attended by close to 2,000 people. The funeral was organised despite resistance from the local police.
