Hyd sees 40% increase in TB cases just in a year

Despite attempts to clamp down on tuberculosis, the disease is spreading in Hyderabad. The number of TB cases in the city have gone up by nearly 40 per cent — from 10,836 in 2018 to 16,481 in 2019, as per the data available on Nikshay portal, a website launched by the Union government under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).
