AV Ramana Deekshitulu back as TTD chief priest

The year has ended on a happy note for former Tirumala temple chief priest AV Ramana Deekshitulu, who was forcibly retired from his post by the previous TTD trust board during the TDP regime in May last year. On Saturday, the present TTD board under the chairmanship of YV Subba Reddy decided to reinstate Deekshitulu as a chief priest on honorary basis to fulfil the promise made to him by chief minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the run-up to the 2019 general elections.
