Rain damages crops in T'gana, 5.6k farmers hit

Extended monsoon has destroyed kharif crops, mostly paddy, across 1.20 lakh acres in the state. Over 5,600 farmers in 4,022 mandals bore the brunt of the incessant rains, according to a report submitted by the agriculture department to the state government.
