Hyderabad recorded it’s third wettest September day in the last 111 years with 75 mm cumulative rainfall over a 24-hour period up to 8.30am on Wednesday. The highest ever rainfall of 153 mm — during September — was reported in Hyderabad on Sept 27, 1908, show historical data available with the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The second highest (90.2mm) was on September 6, 2017. The torrential rains, weathermen said, are expected to continue on Thursday.
